The 36th Installation of 2011-2012 Officers for Quota International Papakura Club  took place at the Clevedon Café.District 37 Governor Karla Hammond from Whakatane; Lieutenant Governor Shona Brown, Opotiki and District Secretary/Treasurer Sammy Wilson, Whakatane conducted a special candle lighting ceremony and installed Pam Ross as President; Carol Shearer, Vice President; Jan Rhodes, Secretary; and Kathleen Drummond, Treasurer. Also installed as Committee Directors were Carol Shearer, Shelley Daley, Dianne Bellamy, Kay Patchell and Social Secretary Tricia Court.

Papakura helps Hospice and Plunket - PDF Print E-mail

Quota Papkura members  Kathleen Drummond, Noelene Derrick, Karen Crane & Tricia Court  raised $655 when they took part in the sponsored 5 km  Sunrise Walk for South Auckland hospice held at the Auckland Botanical Gardens recently.

Papakura Plunket nurses were the receipients of Garments knitted by a friend of Quota  and will donate the cardigans and booties to toddlers in the Franklin area.

Knitting for Plunket - garments donated to Plunket to distribute to needy children.

Welcome to two new members -
Quota Papakura welcomed new members Sue Sedgewick & Denise Webber with a traditional candle ceremony.   Both Sue and Denise have a keen interest in volunteer service for their local community.

Dianne, Adrienne & Karla

Papakura President Dianne, new member Adrienne Chapman & Karla Hammond District 37 Governor after Adrienne was installed with a traditional Quota candle ceremony in September.  Adrienne is an Advisor on Deaf Children in the Papakura/Manurewa area delivering services to families and children with hearing loss and she is looking forward to enjoying the company and companionship of the Papakura members. The members are thrilled to have Adrienne with them.

District team visits Papakura Sept - Karla Hammond Governor, Sammy Wilson
Secretary/ Treasurer, Shona Browne Lt Governor and their feather boas with
Dianne Bellamy Papakura Club President.


The District Team's visit to Papakura was an exciting addition to the special evening for presenting Antique fair cheques.  After donning feather boas, Governor Karla Hammond emphasized that along with their District theme "Helping Hands and Caring Hearts" the focus for the Team was to have fun.  Karla presented a wine glass with the logo of encircling hands in the shape of a heart to President Dianne.
